The present article aims to analyze the Exploration of Audovisual Aids (Images) in Portuguese Language Classes, verifying how this visual resource can contribute to the construction of knowledge, therefore, it was also explored, to what extent images can be explored in Portuguese Language classes and what impacts does the exploration of images have in Portuguese language lessons, since a class taught without the exploration of the images that appear in the Didactic Manuals of Portuguese, it is a totally different class from the one that is taught with a fully exploration of this important didactic resource, the image. The exploration of images in Portuguese Language classes not only helps in the students' process of interpretation and understanding of the text, but also positively promotes inclusion in the classroom, because if there are students with special need, for instance hearing, in the classroom, they may not understand the subject addressed through listening, but viewing the images that accompany the text, the student with special need can understand the class like the rest of the students in the classroom. This study was developed from a bibliographic review on the subject and an exploratory research, with field research. Observation and an interview guide were also used to collect data directed to the teachers of the aforementioned school, since the aim of the research was to analyze how Portuguese Language teachers use images in their classes to help students to understand the content of the lesson.
