Conjugação de verbos derivados pelos falantes do Português L2 em contexto de sala de aulas em Moçambique: caso dos verbos intervir, deter e prever

The present research deals with the approach of derived verbs aiming to understand the reasons for the poor domain of conjugation of the verbs intervene, deter and foresee by Portuguese L2 speakers. In the communication process, verbal conjugation is an inevitable act, as it is through this that man articulates and manipulates verbs to transmit and receive information and, for Portuguese speakers, such as L2, the conjugation of derived verbs generates certain problems, above all, the verbs to intervene, deter and foresee. Methodologically, this is a qualitative, descriptive-bibliographical research, which uses the inductive method, and the data presented were collected from observation and an interview script with 12th grade academic level students and Portuguese language teachers from three (3) schools located in Chimoio city. The research is based on the theoretical studies of grammarians such as Tufano (1991); Monteiro & Pessoa (1999); Figueiredo & Figueiredo (2001); Coimbra & Coimbra (2002); Bechara (2009); Figueiredo & Bizarro (2004); Sardinha & Ramos (2004); and others. The results of the study allowed us to conclude that the reasons for the weak domain of conjugation of the verbs to intervene, deter and foresee by the Portuguese L2 speakers can be summarized in the lack of knowledge of the conjugation rules of primitive verbs (associated with the poor reading of Portuguese Language Grammars), verbs from which the verbs to intervene, deter and foresee derive, the weak incidence in the approach of derived verbs in the classroom by teachers and the didactic strategies used by teachers in teaching.
