This article intends to present the morphophonological phenomena, in particular, those related to nominal morphology, of the Manxineru indigenous language (Aruák family). We describe the close relationship between the phonological and morphological components of this language, which results in a reorganization of the linguistic system. It is possible to notice several phonological processes in this language motivated by the addition of personal and possessive prefixes, which triggers phonological changes in morphemes, promoting vowel, consonant and syllabic deletions, and consequent phenomena, such as compensatory lengthening and the realization of aspirated consonants. We hope, with this work, to contribute to the description of the morphophonological aspects of the Manxineru language.
