The scientific article at hand addresses the incorporation of cultural diversity into the power structures in Mozambique. The central objective is to investigate and propose effective strategies for dealing with ethnic, tribal, and cultural issues without undermining the political and administrative competencies necessary for the proper performance of governmental functions. To achieve this objective, an exploratory research was conducted, with emphasis on literature review. Cultural diversity is a topic that presents challenges and tensions but is crucial for the formation of national identity. Education is a fundamental tool to promote the appreciation and respect for diversity, as well as public policies and initiatives that celebrate diversity. A commitment and leadership that promote respect and appreciation of cultural and ethnic differences are needed, accompanied by policies that promote the inclusion and representation of all ethnic and cultural groups. It is important to invest in training and leadership development and promote a culture of ethics and integrity in politics and administration.
