O presente resumo tem como objetivo analisar o conteúdo do vídeo “O mundo do livro em Libras”, destacando a importância da adaptação de obras literárias para a Língua Brasileira de Sinais (Libras), considerando as especificidades linguísticas e culturais da comunidade surda. O livro, tradicionalmente entendido como suporte escrito, é ressignificado em formato visual por meio de videolivros, ampliando o acesso à informação e à literatura. A Libras, por ser uma língua de modalidade visual-espacial, apresenta estrutura própria, o que impede a realização de traduções literais do português. Nesse sentido, a tradução de obras literárias para Libras demanda processos de adaptação que envolvem o uso de expressões faciais, classificadores, organização espacial e recursos visuais, a fim de garantir a compreensão e a manutenção dos sentidos do texto original. Além disso, o vídeo evidencia que a produção de materiais acessíveis em Libras contribui significativamente para a inclusão educacional e social das pessoas surdas, promovendo maior equidade no acesso ao conhecimento. Dessa forma, os videolivros configuram-se como importantes instrumentos de mediação linguística e cultural, fortalecendo a valorização da cultura surda e incentivando práticas inclusivas no contexto da educação bilíngue.
