Euthanasia is a compassionate and humanitarian practice to guarantee a painless death for a seriously ill patient, contradicting the constitutional precept set out in article 40 regarding the right to life. The analysis of its practice in respect of human dignity, controversial the right to life, was studied in the City of Chimoio, with the aim of bringing an approach to the level of knowledge of euthanasia and its different types in order to ultimately present personal proposals for the aggrandizement of the matter relating to the violation of the fundamental Human Right, which is the right to life enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Mozambique. To achieve the objectives, bibliographical research and field research were used, which consisted of collecting data based on semi-structured interviews, where 42 individuals aged between 18 and 45 were interviewed. The results show that 83.3% have prior knowledge of the meaning of euthanasia, but despite having knowledge of the meaning of euthanasia, they did not know for sure the types of euthanasia practice, since 54.7% did not know active euthanasia and only 45.2% they had knowledge. Having concluded that this research does not serve as an end point for this type of research as it does not exhaust all divergent opinions and it is recommended that a law be created that prohibits or penalizes the practice of the same.
