Káàkiri àgbáyé ni a ti rí àwọn Akíkanjú ènìyàn bẹ́ẹ̀ kódà ní ilẹ̀ Adúláwọ̀ pàápàá. Àpilẹ̀kọ yìí jíròrò lórí ipa adarí àwọn akíkanjú Ilẹ̀ Adúláwọ̀ lọ́kùnrin àti lóbìnrin a sì fi àwọn Yorùbá ní ìhà Gúsù ilẹ̀ Nàìjíríà ṣe òdiwọn. Ìtàn ìwáṣẹ̀ fi yé wa pé ìran Yorùbá ti ní ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ènìyàn pàtàkì látẹ̀yìnwá lọ́kùnrin àti lóbìnrin tí wọ́n ti ṣe ohun mánígbàgbé láàrin ènìyàn wọn. Ìwádíí yìí ṣe àgbéyẹ̀wò ohun tí wọn ṣe àti ipa wọn lorí àwùjọ olukúlùkù wọn lápapọ̀. Iṣẹ́ ìwádìí yìí mú wá sí ìrántí akitiyan àti àṣeyọrí àwọn ọmọ Yorùbá tí a lè pè ní akíkanjú ènìyàn lọ́kùnrin àti lóbìnrin, èyí tí a gbàgbọ́ pé kò yẹ kí ó parun. Lára èròǹgbà iṣẹ́ iwádìí yìí ni: (a). Láti ṣe kóríyá fún àwọn ọ̀dọ́ ìwòyí láti rìn ní ọ̀nà tí àwọn ènìyàn wọ̀nyìí rìn. (b). Láti mú kí ẹ̀mí ìdáraẹnilójú, ìfaraẹnijì fún ìmúdúró àti ìtẹ̀síwájú àwùjọ ẹni gbèrú sí i lọ́kàn wọn. Àpilẹ̀kọ yìí ṣe àyẹ̀wò àwọn akíkanjú ilẹ̀ Yorùbá márùn-ún, ọkùnrin márùn ún àti obìrin márùn ún. sàfiwé ipa wọn, bákan náà ni a sọ èrò tiwa nípa wọn. Para ser chamado de herói — seja homem ou mulher, em sua comunidade ou em qualquer outro lugar —, o indivíduo deve ter realizado algo grandioso, especialmente algo que tenha beneficiado sua comunidade. Pessoas heroicas são encontradas em todo o mundo, inclusive no mundo negro. Este artigo aborda o papel dos heróis do mundo negro, tanto homens quanto mulheres, tomando como referência o povo iorubá, do sul da Nigéria. A história nos mostra que o povo iorubá teve muitos homens e mulheres notáveis que realizaram feitos inesquecíveis em meio ao seu povo. Este estudo examina as ações dessas pessoas e o impacto que tiveram em suas comunidades como um todo. O projeto de pesquisa resgata os esforços e as conquistas de iorubás que podem ser considerados heróis e heroínas — figuras que, a nosso ver, não devem ser esquecidas. Entre os objetivos deste projeto de pesquisa, destacam-se: (a) Inspirar a juventude atual a seguir os passos dessas pessoas; (b) Incutir neles um espírito de autossuficiência e um compromisso com a manutenção e o progresso da sociedade. O artigo analisa cinco heróis iorubás — cinco homens e cinco mulheres —, comparando suas trajetórias e apresentando nossas próprias opiniões a respeito deles. O trabalho fundamenta-se na teoria de análise do pensamento e do comportamento humano pioneiramente desenvolvida por Ivan Pavlov, B.F. Skinner e John Watson.

O̩mo̩layo̩ Durotade OGUNLO̩LA , University of Ilo̩rin – Nigeria

is a Ph.D holder in Yorùbá Literature from the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, University of Ilo̩rin. He specializes in Yorùbá Literature and culture. He has done extensive research on Yorùbá Literature and Cultural values. He has also written quite a number of Yorùbá texts (novels and plays) and at least thirty-five (35) jornal articles. He is currently an Associate Professor.
