A presente resenha visa analisar e descrever o gloticídio das línguas indígenas devido à falta de política de planejamento linguístico. Uma análise crítica voltada à valorização das línguas em colaboração com a UNESCO a partir do artigo da pesquisadora Larissa da Silva Lisboa Souza, doutora em Estudos Comparados de Literaturas de Língua Portuguesa pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Neste artigo, percebe-se que muitas línguas se encontram em extinção, o que nos deixa preocupados enquanto estudiosos da área. A língua sendo um instrumento que carrega a identidade cultural e social, deve ser conservada e promovida pela comunidade linguística, criando meios necessários para a sua documentação tanto nas matérias didáticas como também no seu estatuto face aos desafios de órgãos de comunicação social, sob pena de estar em perigo de extinção, como descreve o artigo em análise da pesquisadora acima referenciada.
