Abstract

Strategic planning in school management is fundamental for the effective development of educational institutions, as it allows the clear definition of objectives, the organization of resources and the implementation of actions that promote continuous improvement. The main objective of this article is to analyze how strategic planning can contribute to the quality of education, involving all actors in the school community in the decision-making process. The methodology used for this analysis includes a bibliographical review of works on educational management, in a descriptive way. This approach enables a comprehensive understanding of the impacts and challenges faced in implementing these strategies. Thus, everything indicates that strategic planning promotes a more cohesive school environment aligned with the needs of students and the community. When well implemented, it facilitates the identification of clear goals, which results in a better allocation of resources and greater efficiency in pedagogical practices. Furthermore, the active participation of teachers, students and parents in the planning process strengthens collective commitment and responsibility towards educational outcomes. In this way, we can affirm that the importance of strategic planning in school management lies in its ability to transform institutions into dynamic and adaptable spaces, capable of meeting the contemporary demands of education, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence. Adopting this practice not only improves academic performance, but also contributes to the integral formation of students as critical and participatory citizens.
