    A presente publicação especial resulta de parcerias entre o Prof. Dr. Alexandre António Timbane (Editor da Revista Njinga & Sepé) e Prof.Dr. Bayọ Ọmọlọla, docente do Department of World Languages and International Studies, da Morgan State University (USA). Trata-se de uma parceria de trocas e compartilhamento de materiais com vista a preservação, valorização e divulgação das linguas africanas além fronteiras. As linguas africanas existem, estão vivas e são meios de comunicação e precisam de cada vez mais divulgadas e ensinadas para as novas gerações. A Declaração Universal dos Direitos Linguisticos (1996) defende que "Todas as comunidades linguísticas têm direito a um ensino que permita aos seus membros adquirirem um conhecimento profundo do seu patrimônio cultural (história e geografia, literatura e outras manifestações da própria cultura), assim como o melhor conhecimento possível de qualquer outra cultura que desejem conhecer." (Art.28). Esta é a primeira publicação de tantas outras que vamos promover e divulgar em favor da divulgação da cultura africana e das línguas locais. As línguas indigenas brasileiras e da américa latina também podem publicar seus trabalhos nesta revista. Há espaço para todas as línguas do mundo que desejam compartilhar suas culturas e línguas. Na qualidade de Editor-chefe da Revista Njinga & Sepé agradeço muito a colaboração do Prof. Dr. Bayọ Ọmọlọla pela ideia de divulgar os artigos publicados.     This special publication is the result of a partnership between  Alexandre António Timbane, Ph.D (Editor of Njinga & Sepé Journal) and Bayọ Ọmọlọla, Ph.D. a professor in the Department of World Languages and International Studies at Morgan State University (USA). This partnership involves exchanging and sharing materials with a view to preserving, promoting, and disseminating African languages across borders. African languages exist, are alive, and are means of communication, and they need to be increasingly disseminated and taught to new generations. The Universal Declaration of Linguistic Rights (1996) states that "All language communities have the right to education that enables their members to acquire a thorough knowledge of their cultural heritage (history and geography, literature and other manifestations of their own culture), as well as the best possible knowledge of any other culture they wish to know." (Art. 28). This is the first of many publications that we will promote and disseminate to promote African culture and local languages. Indigenous languages from Brazil and Latin America can also publish their work in this journal. There is space for all languages of the world that wish to share their cultures and languages.   • A interdisciplinaridade e diálogo entre as diferentes áreas do saber em favor dos avanços científicos
    Vol. 5 No. 2 (2025)

    Estamos diante de uma publicação interdisciplinar, na qual pesquisadores de diversas áreas do saber juntaram seus estudos e pesquisa para compartilhar avanços. A Interdisciplinaridade pode ser entendida como qualquer forma de combinação entre duas ou mais disciplinas objetivando-se a compreensão de um objeto a partir da confluência de pontos de vista diferentes cujo objetivo final seria a elaboração de síntese relativa ao objeto comum; implica alguma reorganização do processo ensino/aprendizagem e supõe trabalho contínuo de cooperação entre os professores envolvidos. Esta publicação chama atenção para a necessidade olharmos a nossa volta e valorizar as outras áreas do saber buscando a complementariedade entre as diferentes áreas do saber. A presente publicação corresponde ao volume 5, do número 2 (jul.dez.2025) que reuniu dezoito (18) artigos que demonstram avanços científicos nas áreas de Economia, Engenharia, Sociologia, História, Política e Direito. Aproveitem esta publicar para refletir sobre os caminhos da ciência na atualidade, pois pensamos que quanto mais diálogo houver entre diferentes áreas do saber mais haverá afunilamento e diálogo saudável na ciência.   • Repensando a educação no século XXI: estudos e pesquisas em Educação

    A publicação vol.5, n.1 (2025) homenageia o cidadão brasileiro Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva devido ao compromisso com a educação do povo. Apesar de ser o único presidente analfabeto nas últimas décadas , ele tem prestado muita atenção na formação do cidadãos brasileiros. A educação pública e gratuita, ao nosso ver, deveria ser o mais previlegiado pelos governos no mundo inteiro, partindo da ideia de que toda a humanidade só conseguirá dar bons passos rumo ao desenvolvimento se apostar na educação. Somos de opinião que se queremos um mundo melhor, então temos que valorizar a função docente e criarmos condições para que a escola e a universidade públicas sejam de qualidade e com profissionais mais motivados.   • SEMINÁRIOS INTERNACIONAIS DA REVISTA NJINGA & SEPÉ - ANAIS DO I SEMINÁRIO INTERNACIONAL DA TOPONIMIA E ANTROPONIMIA

    O evento “SEMINÁRIOS INTERNACIONAIS DA REVISTA NJINGA & SEPÉ” é um evento acadêmico-científico internacional organizado uma vez por ano pelos editores da Revista Njinga & Sepé, cujo intuito é de reunir estudos e pesquisas de pesquisadores, docentes e estudantes da pós-graduação com intuito de interagir, trocar teorias, metodologias e experiências sobre as diversas temáticas que serão propostas a cada ano. O nome “Revista Njinga & Sepé” foi escolhido em homenagem a Rainha africana Njinga Mbandi e ao guerreiro indígena brasileiro Sepé Tiarajú ambos símbolos das lutas de resistência e da afirmação das identidades africanas e brasileiras respectivamente. A Universidade de Integração Internacional da Lusofonia Afro-Brasileira (UNILAB) é uma universidade pública criada pela Lei nº 12.289, de 20 de julho de 2010 com intuito de formar recursos humanos promovendo a integração entre o Brasil e os membros da CPLP com maior ênfase para os PALOP e o Timor Leste criando intercambio para o desenvolvimento regional, cultural, científico e educacional entre os países. A Revista Njinga & Sepé foi criada em 2021 visando preencher a ausência de oportunidades de publicação especialmente nos PALOP e em Timor Leste. É uma Revista multidisciplinar, de fluxo contínuo que acolhe temáticas das culturas, das línguas africanas, indígenas brasileiras e timorenses sem excluir as de sinais. Nesta edição especial você poderá encontrar os Anais do 1º Seminário Internacional de Toponímia e Antroponimia realizado virtualmente nos dias 15 e 16 de agosto de 2024.   • A Linguística, a Literatura, a educação e outras áreas afins na mesa de debates em favor do avanço da ciência

    O volume 4 , nº Especial II apresenta diversos estudos linguísticos,  literários, metodologias de ensino e  outros estudos científicos que apontam para o avanço da ciência na África e no Brasil no século XXI. As universidades africanas e brasileiras produzem conhecimentos diversos que revelam os avanços científicos buscando sempre oferecer propostas para os problemas sociais, econômicos, linguísticos, culturais e políticos da atualidade. Esta publicação organizada por um trio: Luzinha Brígida de Jesus (timorense), Higor Teixeira dos Santos (brasileiro) e Abias Alberto Catito (angolano), todos da Universidade Estadual Feira de Santana, reúne resultados de estudos produzidos em diversas universidades africanas e brasileiras buscando compartilhar saberes e aprofundamento de teorias e metodologias. Encontrará nesta publicação trinta e cinco  (35) trabalhos dentre artigos originais, poesias, contos  e entrevistas. O compartilhamento de evidências por meio de publicações científicas contribui muito, ao minimizar a importância das fronteiras, e ao contribuir para a utilização de evidências na introdução de mudanças na sociedade global. Escrever é o meio muito importante para a comunicação do trabalho científico (Mengistu Asnake, Presidente da Federação Mundial das Associações de Saúde Pública, 2015).   • Línguas, literaturas e outras artes no espaço angolano
    Vol. 4 No. 2 (2024)

    As publicações científicas permitem a circulação do conhecimento e a busca de novos saberes. É fundamental que os saberes conquistados por meio de pesquisas e estudos sejam compartilhados e discutidos no meio cientíifco. O método hipotético-dedutivo de Karl Popper (1902-1994) nos mostra que onde termina uma pesquisa, inicia outra e assim sucessivamente. A ciência é inesgotável. Neste Vol.4, nº2 (2024) organizado pelos professores Daniel Peres Sassuco, Nsimba José e Manuel da Silva Domingos encontraremos contribuições de estudos das áreas de Linguística, Literatura, Artes e Educação relativos à Angola. São estudos que falam sobre Angola na sua profundidade e visam promover um espaço de debate permanente para que o conhecimento circule  e seja compartilhado nacionalmente e além fronteiras. As pesquisas apresentadas neste dossiê criticam o rumo que Angola está trilhando, especialmente na formação de professores, na descrição e ensino de línguas, de Quimica e de Biologia. Para além de criticar, os trabalhos publicados apontam caminhos possiveis para a melhoria da qualidade do ensino em Angola. Os autores clamam pelo apoio das autoridades para que situação se reverta o mais breve possível, pensando numa Angola mais desenvolvida. A formação de profissionais com qualidade evita a multiplicação de analfabetos funcionais que não poderão efetivamente contribuir o necessário. Com relação às linguas, Angola precisa dar atenção especial e urgente para descrição, revitalização e políticas de ensino das línguas autóctone respeitando assim a Declaração Universal dos Direitos Linguísticos (1996). Desejamos a todos uma leitura atenta, crítica, colaborativa e não se esqueçam de compartilhar a Revista com estudantes, colegas, docentes e outros interessados.     Dear readers! Njinga & Sepé Magazine launches Vol. 4, No. 1, 2024, composed of 35 texts including original articles, reviews, poems, taboos, myths, festivities and other diverse writings. As a Culture Magazine, we seek to cover the various textual and academic genres available. This publication presents studies and research that address theoretical and practical aspects of African and South American languages, literature, cultures and the ongoing construction of identities. The publication shares knowledge in the search for an ongoing dialogue between Africa and South America. Njinga & Sepé Magazine is a scientific and democratic space that welcomes works by experienced researchers and others. This is a free and non-profit publication belonging to the University of International Integration of Afro-Brazilian Lusophony (Brazil).   • A Linguística e a Educação em debate nos Países Africanos de Língua Oficial Portuguesa e no Brasil

    This publication, related to Vol. 3, No. Special II, 2023, brings together works that discuss theoretical and practical aspects of linguistic and educational studies, specifically teaching methodologies and methods in Portuguese-speaking African countries and in Brazil. It is a publication organized by Prof. Dr. Maria Goreti Varela Freire Silva, professor at the University of Cape Verde, in Cape Verde, in coordination with Prof. Dr. Alexandre António Timbane (UNILAB/USP). The Njinga & Sepé Journal is welcoming, encourages research and publication and made an exception for articles from other areas of knowledge in Section VII "Varia". This Section VII welcomed research on Economics, Administration, Public Health, Anthropology, Sociology, Literature and other related areas. The objective is to offer opportunities for research to be shared, discussed and encouraged, especially for countries without technological and financial resources for publication. Scientific interaction between Brazil and African countries is urgent and beneficial because UNILAB is an international integration institution that values ​​cooperation and scientific exchanges with South-South so that all countries involved in the integration can grow together.   • Debates sobre a educação no Brasil e na África lusófona: caminhos, avanços e perspectivas

    The studies that led to the publication of this edition are the result of various approaches to qualitative, quantitative and mixed research, with methods that involve bibliographic research, field research and data analysis. There are many benefits to this Special Edition I. Many of these studies are enriched with robust historical data on the types of education (basic, secondary, technical and higher) – from colonial times to the present day. In addition to the historical data on education, much is also revealed about the language and culture of both African countries and Brazil.     Vol. 3, No. 2/2023 (Jul./Dec.) is the result of partnerships between several professors and researchers who participated in the 2nd International Conference on Culture & Society – What Literacy(ies) for Economic and Social Justice?, held at Zambeze University, Mozambique, in an online/remote format, on May 27th and 28th, 2021. The dossier is composed of fifteen (15) peer-reviewed articles selected by a Scientific Committee.   • Cenas das vidas culturais indígena, afro-brasileira, africana e timorense em tempos contemporâneos

    Life has become increasingly complex in contemporary times. The cultural scenes of people living in the Americas, Africa and Asia have reflected quite conflicting socio-political dealings and reconfigurations in the relationships between these people. It is through these dealings that they are recomposing their ethnocultural autonomies, their perceptions of gender, sexual orientation, and the defense of the inviolable freedom of conscience and beliefs as well as the free exercise of religious cults. They are also redefining their behavior in relation to the environment, food security, climate change, democracy, citizenship, and exposing on debate urgent issues such as prejudice, discrimination and intolerance in the face of sociocultural differences. These people are also promoting (re)thinking about the relationship between diversity and inequality that persist among peoples. Naturally, it is relevant to deepen the debate on current global historical processes by weaving (re)compositions of the scenes of contemporary cultural life. These aspects are loaded with meanings and sensitivities and it gives rise to interdisciplinary perspectives allowing researchers and scholars from different areas of knowledge, from diverse ethnocultural and social origins to dialogue about scenes of Indigenous, Afro-Brazilian, African and Timorian cultural lives in contemporary times. This “2022 Special Dossier” aims to provide a framework of approaches, trends and methodological, historical, epistemological, aesthetic, hermeneutic and related areas, which allows the composition of a transdisciplinary scenario and helps the reader to apprehend the contemporary universe of the people of the Americas, Africa and Asia.

  • A Bioética em Moçambique: estudos e pesquisas
    Vol. 2 No. Especial II (2022)

    Bioethics is a discourse about tolerance. The recognition of humanity's moral plurality, and the idea that different beliefs and values govern topics such as abortion, euthanasia and cloning, made it imperative to structure an academic discipline that reflects on these conflicts, frequent in the field of health (Débora Diniz and Dirce Guilhem, 2012). According to Garrafa (2006), it is necessary to reflect on the bioethics of emerging situations that are linked to recent topics such as, for example, the human genome project and all situations relevant to genetic engineering, including predictive medicine and gene therapy; donations and transplants of human organs and tissues, with all their inferences that are reflected in the life and death of people in society. It was based on this reflection that research and studies were gathered that analyze and discuss various public health problems in Mozambique closely linked to Bioethics. It is important to discuss these issues so that we can have a fairer and healthier society.

  • A educação na África lusófona e no Brasil: práticas, metodologias, métodos e gestão da educação

    Education in Portuguese-speaking Africa and Brazil is a major challenge. The big challenge is centered on teaching methodologies, flawed educational policies and the lack of commitment to the new generations. Efforts in the development and quality of education are sporadic and do not serve the vast majority of children, adolescents and young people. The problem of the language used in teaching is another challenge that in many cases prevents students from learning. It is in this perspective that this Special Issue, from Vol. 2 (2022) precisely to reflect on school management, methodologies and teaching methods in order to find ways to improve the quality of education in Lusophone Africa and Brazil. Be careful when reading the texts because the authors use African and Brazilian Portuguese and these varieties must be respected without prejudice.

The publication brings together scientific research that aims to analyze and describe languages in terms of Phonetic-Phonological, Lexicographic, Lexicology, Pragmatics, Semantics, Syntax, Terminology and Literature. The works presented reveal the need to continue with studies so that non-official and unwritten languages have their space in the scientific space and in society.

    (English): The Vol. 2, nº1 (2022) has the theme "education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world", a phrase by Nelson Mandela (1918-2013) great African leader. This publication is dedicated to the themes of education with greater emphasis on research, investigations and studies dedicated to teaching and learning. Education is fundamental for all societies, which is why it is necessary to establish public and linguistic policies, in addition to investments in infrastructure and the training of qualified professionals so that they can meet the demands of each reality. This publication draws attention to the society that must make education a priority in all countries if we understand education as the basis for the development of any nation and the main weapon to dominate the world. The quote by Nelson Mandela serves as an inspiration for us to move towards the success of education in Brazil, Africa and the world.

    This vol.1, Special Issue of 2021 celebrates the life and work of grandfather Agostinho Neto and opens the celebrations for the hundredth year that will be celebrated in 2022. Agostinho Neto, mwangolês, doctor, politician and writer  is immortalized in this journal through an article and poems that reinforce the greatness of the one who led the liberation struggle against colonialism. This publication was organized by Professors Eduardo David Ndombele and   Quibongue Mudiambo, both mwangolês and Professor at Instituto Superior de Ciências de Educação do Uige (Angola) and coordinated by Alexandre António Timbane, Editor-in-Chief of the journal.   • African and Brazilian culture and languages in evidence

    The first volume inaugurates the challenge of valuing the cultures and languages of African and Brazilian peoples, bringing together research and work by various researchers, artists, writers, interpreters, translators and others interested in the themes of the sections of Revista Njinga & Sepé. All efforts are made so that non-official and minorized languages have the opportunity and that somehow they become languages of science in the near future, thus preserving the linguistic and cultural richness.
